About Us Our Team Staff Staff Steve Lane, Chief Executive Steve has 16 years’ fundraising & marketing experience gained within the hospice movement in Kent and Middlesex. He joined Lucy Air Ambulance after 7 years as CEO at the Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity in West Sussex. Prior to his career in the third sector Steve was Managing Director of a family retail group with outlets in Kent and Sussex. Nicola Cleave, Medical and Family Liaison Manager Nicola is an experienced paediatric nurse who has specialised in haematology, oncology and bone-marrow transplants. With over 9 years’ experience at Great Ormond Street Hospital, she has also worked in high dependency units, endocrinology and cardiology; working in University College Hospital in the teenage cancer unit as specialist chemotherapy nurse; matron at Harley Street Children’s Hospital and as bone marrow transplant co-ordinator at St Mary’s Hospital, London. Steve Holdsworth, Trusts and Foundations Manager Steve has over 17 years’ experience in the charity sector as a trusts and foundations specialist, having held similar positions for organisations including the National Playing Fields Association, The Stroke Association, Bliss and Church Housing Trust. Prior to joining the sector he had a varied career in areas including banking, the Civil Service and market research. Amanda Homan-Green, Business Development Manager Amanda has been involved with the charity since its conception in July 2010, initially on a part-time consultancy basis, building awareness and heading Communications & Fundraising. She has over 25 years’ extensive corporate and consumer PR experience having worked with a variety of high profile clients in travel, entertainment, luxury lifestyle and charity sectors. Charlotte Young, Corporate Partnerships Manager Charlotte has enjoyed being a corporate fundraiser for over 10 years now. Before joining us she worked at Breast Cancer Care, Save the Children and Age UK where she gained valuable experience in both winning new partnerships and account managing existing relationships. Charlotte started her career in the corporate world as a placement student for IBM and then as a graduate for American Express. Hannah Simpson, Fundraising Manager Hannah has over 20 years’ experience in Events and Community Fundraising, working with a variety of organisations including Trinity Hospice, Crohn’s & Colitis UK and Beating Bowel Cancer. She returned to the Lucy team in January 2017, after a gruelling year of treatment for breast cancer. She reports that she is now fighting fit and looking forward to working with the rest of the team to take the Lucy fundraising operation to the next level. Danielle Long, Community Engagement and Event Fundraiser Danielle has over four years’ experience organising overseas challenges and UK events working previously at a company that runs and organises events all around the world. As a keen fundraiser herself she has raised several thousand pounds for charity by taking part in many events including four London Marathons, conquering the Great Wall of China, tackling Ben Nevis and many more! Terry McLeman, Data and Information Administrator Terry has over 20 years’ experience working in a number of voluntary roles for charities including Mind, BHF and the Alzheimer’s Society. Her previous role was in the Supporter Services Team at the Prince's Trust.
