I am delighted to be working with such a dynamic team of staff and trustees to help address one of the problems facing paediatric care teams in getting young patients safely and quickly to locations where they can receive the best possible care and treatment. The support that Lucy can provide to the families of these young people at such a distressing time is invaluable and I am very proud to be playing a part in ensuring the ongoing success of this charity. As a Trustee of Lucy Air Ambulance for Children, I am privileged to see the unique role played by our dedicated staff and volunteers. They make every effort to provide specialist care for seriously-ill children in need of transport to and from different hospital locations, often hundreds of miles apart. As our service and coverage expand across the UK, we find increasing demand for the emergency care and support we look to provide at short notice. We never want to have to turn down a call for help where we can make a difference.
