The Faculty of Solicitors in Dundee raise over £1,500 at annual dinner

The Faculty of Solicitors in Dundee have continued their fundraising for Lucy Air Ambulance for Children (Lucy AAC) raising £1,510 at the Faculty’s annual dinner on Friday 2nd March.

139 Dundee solicitors braved ‘the beast of the east’ to attend their annual dinner held at the Apex Hotel. The annual dinner was the second social event that the Faculty had hosted in aid of Lucy AAC, after their festive drinks in December.

The Faculty has raised nearly £2,000 since October 2017 when the Faculty nominated Lucy AAC as their chosen charity. They first became aware of Lucy AAC when we flew Leo Donnelly, son of well known Dundee solicitor Ross Donnelly, from London to Ninewells Hospital when he was born 14 weeks premature.

After the successful evening, Ross said: “The dinner on Friday was fantastic! Amanda, Vicky and Claudia from the Faculty did an amazing job and we had a great time in spite of the weather.”

Event organiser Amanda Wilson said: “It was encouraging to see so many of our local firms, of all sizes and specialisations, support this event.  We were also delighted to welcome colleagues from COPFS, SSSC and the Police Federation.”

Our sincere gratitude and thanks goes out to the Faculty as they continue to fundraise for our Charity.

The Faculty plan on hosting a series of events throughout the year > keep up to date with their fundraising.
